Trayblecloth Airplane Table Organizer for Kids

You don’t have to be a complete germaphobe to agree that airplane tray tables are pretty disgustingly dirty. Plus they’re so tiny that everything slides off the minute your back is turned. Both of these factors could lead to a pretty stressful flight with your kids, so next time consider the Trayblecloth.

It slips over the table and secures with elastic. Even when your tray is “in the upright and locked position” you still have access to the pockets. Flying with kids isn’t going to be a picnic, but this clever device aims to eliminate some of the stress.

Princess Linens “My First Scrubs” for kids

Cute! These scrubs are smooth and soft — just the way little kids prefer. Princess Linens makes these adorable outfits in colors and sizes for most little kids. You can even get the green ones up to a size 8.

I especially like that you can have words embroidered on them — I wonder how many they’ve made which say “Dr. Poopypants”? These would make a great baby gift for a doctor you know, but they’re also simple and sweet enough to be a great gift for anyone’s child.

LeapFrog TAG Reading System

When LeapFrog sent me the TAG I was skeptical, because it seemed kind of hokey to me. A magic pen? Yeah right. That sounds awesome. But you know what? Everyone is wrong sometimes, and for me this is one of those times. My kids love the LeapFrog TAG. It appears to be a replacement for what I think was the original product Leap Frog Made: the LeapPad. But this is so much cooler. There are no cords or cables, there’s no button you have to push when you turn a page, and the book itself looks just like a regular book so you can easily keep it on a bookshelf.

It’s all quite magical, actually. You don’t have to tell the pen which book you want to use. Instead, just point the pen at the book and it figures it all out. You can skip around the pages with abandon, you can point the pen at random spots and quite frequently something funny will happen.

This kind of serendipity and lack of a single-path is really what is keeping my kids interested, and along the way they’re learning about reading and letters. The TAG is just another in a series of LeapFrog products which convince me that they really do care about helping and educating kids. I love it.

I really love Amazon Prime. For a yearly fee, you get free shipping on your purchases. If you shop at Amazon a lot like I do, this really pays off big.
