Tonka Bounce Back Racer Remote Control Car for Younger Kids

Let me just say right up front that my almost 4 year old ADORES this remote controlled car. He loves it so much that the first night he slept with his arms wrapped tightly around it. He made me kiss it goodnight and tuck it in under the covers with him. He (inexplicably) named it “Groppy.” This is no ordinary car.

The Tonka Bounce Back Racer has a firm but squishy vinyl or plastic exterior so your baseboards are much less likely to get all dinged up. I’ve had my ankles crashed into by this car and even though it gets up to a pretty decent speed, it didn’t really hurt.

When it crashes into the wall, and it will, it either bounces back or flips completely over — that made my son crack up and was part of what infatuated him about the car. It’s got an incredibly easy remote control that only has two buttons, and the whole thing feels very sturdy. My 6 and almost-7 year old love it too, so this is a popular toy in our house. I see the Tonka Bounce Back Racer sold out at several online stores, but you can still grab it at Amazon. Two thumbs up :)

Weren’t these much cheaper a few weeks ago? I just checked amazon and they want 63 dollars! I thought they were 30-something when I checked last. I guess I missed out on my chance to get them as Christmas gifts!

sold out everywhere in canada it seems……ppl on ebay selling for ridiculous $…..guess there r ppl who will be willing tho pay tho…… i dunno….i wouldnt pay more than 30 bucks for this when my son woud be as happy paying with a plethora of other toys/gifts…

We bought 2 and 1 remote controls both… not very fun for two kids and they get upset. Anyone else have this problem, or know how to fix it?
